形容词词尾比较兼容,不是那么固定

ate :accommodate considerate

但整体而言,形容词依然有特征性的词尾

al:接在名词后,直接加“的”

detrimental(detriment + al)— 不利的,有害的

beneficial(benefit + al)— 有利的

  • 来源于名词“benefit”,意为利益或好处,形容词形式表示对某事物有好处的。

ent:接词根,与名词词尾ence 互相转换
